Introduction to Audio
What is Sound ? Sound is acoustical and mechanical form of energy. Sound is any disturbance that travels through a medium
Read moreSound engineering is basically working on sound before being processed and when we work on the same sound as a processed signal or wSound Engineering is part of audio engineering , as most of us have misconception that audio engineering and sound engineering means same but in reality they both differ from one another . ork digitally which is termed as audio the process is called audio engineering.
An audio engineer works on the recording, manipulation using equalization and electronic effects, mixing, reproduction, and reinforcement of sound. Audio engineers work on the “…technical aspect of recording—the placing of microphones, the turning of pre-amp knobs, the setting of levels. The physical recording of any project is done by an engineer the nuts and bolts.” Many audio engineers creatively use technologies to produce sound for film, radio, television, music, electronic products and computer games. Audio engineers also set up, sound check and do live sound mixing using an audio console and a sound reinforcement system for music concerts, theatre, sports games and corporate events.
The term “audio engineer” can refer to a scientist or professional engineer who holds a B.Sc. or M.Sc. who designs, develops and builds new audio technologies working within the field of acoustical engineering.Audio engineers working in research and development may come from backgrounds such as acoustics, computer science, broadcast engineering, physics, acoustical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics.
